From 9News.com:
"BOULDER COUNTY - The Colorado State Patrol says a motorcycle rider was killed Sunday morning when he ran off the road and crashed into a tree.
It happened around 10 a.m. at milepost 22 on Highway 7.
Troopers say 44-year-old Jon Sandberg of Erie was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in a creek. The Boulder County Coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.
Sandberg was wearing a helmet, according to troopers.
The CSP says speed is a possible factor in the crash."
Anyone we know?
Godspeed, Jon.
Sad news...... Walter and I saw a Honda Shadow wrecked when we went back to find his tag. Luckily no one looked to injured.
Motorcycle crashes are up sharply in the last two years. The number of fatal motorcycle crashes in the last two years is up sharply. Loosing control in curves and failing to negotiate a curve because of speed are the leading cause. This is sad, and very unfortunate. I was relieved to find that I did not know the rider in this case.
a person must know the limitations of themselves and their equiptment. you discover these by pushing the boundries to the threshhold of failure, preferably in a controlled environment, then staying in a comfort zone with a margin for error. one must always expect the other drivers not to see you and be prepared for all things, all the time. practice focus always! after you have a serious wreck it becomes very clear, it's not if you'll crash,it's when!! stack the deck in your favor...god bless all.
RIP :'(

I saw a yellow cruiser down on the shoulder of I-25 near Longmont at about 615ish Monday morning. Looked like a high side by the position of the bike. Any news on the rider or cause of wreck? Hope he/she's alright.
Sorry Manny, I got no 411. it was not a fatal because it didn't come out on a press release or my Google Alerts.

Wasn't it a little early for a field trip with the kids?

saw another rider down this morning @ 285 & C470 on the news. :-\
Thanks, Johnny. There was a Statie parked next to it talking on the radio. Didn't look like there was anything urgent going on, so I figured it was all ok or REAL bad. I guess no news is good news, eh?
