So I pulled my fork reflectors off and now there some sticky goo and some foam bits on there- suggestions on getting it off without marring the aluminum?
appreciated!
WD40 works great or 3M adhesive remover works killer too.
Sandpaper.

After your done if there is any glue left over pour a few drops of "Googone" (any autoparts or Home-D carries it) and wipe away. [thumbsup]

He's joking ... (I hope!) ...high pitched ha - hu while twirrling your hair with one finger- then you send in the forks to be turned to get rid of the scratches ... right?
heard a couple of good suggestions; use dental floss to "cut" reflector off initially, and you mught be able to use this to further remove the glue; rubbing alcohol; "MEK" but you better know what your doing with that stuff it will disolve anything and its supper flamable; break cleaner ...

Fine sandpaper. How do you think you get pitts out of your forks? but a degreaser would be alot easier. or hell, olive oil!

+1 on the Goo Gone the only thing i do differently is soak some paper towels with Goo Gone and hold it on the area in question for a couple minutes (that way it doesnt go everywhere) Should come right off

Oh I was going to just use a cold chisel and a mallet.
Thanks all, I knew I could use goo gone but am supremely lazy and that would require me to go buy some. WD40 it is.
Carb cleaner works to get the big chunks, WD-40 +1
Congrats on taking the first step of ownership, removing the reflectors [thumbsup]

No, you were wrong to ask the question. Have you never cleaned anything before?
Do not...I repeat...do not drink.

I've removed it by just rolling my index finger over it until it starts to ball up and then it just rolls up into a little ball and pick it off.
Then wax the areas where the glue was.
If the 1st way didn't work, Goo Gone works fine. Then wax. Dolph
