This original post on another website is all in italian but bear with it, if you scroll down through all the pics (and theres lots) you get the idea, interestingly he did that exhaust before the new 696 appeared too.
I was thinking about a conversion but so far my monster works well off road. I'll let you know when I get stuck ;D ;D

I WANT
DO WANT!!! [bacon] [bacon] [bacon] [bacon] [bacon] [bacon]
They should have made the 696 look more like that!
Ho-ly crap...
That was an outrageous amount of work. I mean did you see the exhaust, he definitely should have found a tubing bender to use for some of that.

Titanium exhaust systems are the bomb [thumbsup]
once again, a peak at how cool the multistrada could look
i wish i had a shop like the one where all that work was done
DERBY!!! Still cool though.
Mandrel? The bike looks awesome, though...
that bike is incredible!
The amount of time, passion and skill that went into that is amazing.
Wow, that is impressive... To see all the work that went into it with those pics was very, very cool also... Beautiful bike...

Is that at your house or did you just ride down some old cat road to get there?

Yes, it was a ton of work, but I'm sure he gets a great deal of satisfaction from knowing it's his work. I really don't know how else he could have made the pipe though, thin-wall titanium tubing isn't very easy to bend, especially a tight radius. The few factory made Ti pipes you see for sale will have some bends in them, but you can be assured that many feet of expensive tubing was destroyed developing the correct procedure to bend the tubing. For a one-off exhaust system, sectioned and welded is the way to go. I like it myself, it has that "works bike" look.
Holy Michael Angelo that is awesome. Way better than Rolands Sand's HM
I remember seeing techs weld up headers like that for BMW Touring Cars.
Beatiful exhaust plumbing [thumbsup] That is a true custom not a catalog queen.
WOW
