Title: Removing Front Wheel - 1999 750
Post by: cyrus buelton on August 15, 2008, 10:40:33 AM
Time for some new rubber for the ole' 99 750 Dark.

However, when looking at the front it takes one big ass hex (allen head) tool to get the wheel off.

Does anyone know what size it is?????

For anyone that cares, it appears it is a 14mm hex wrench

It's not that we don't care. I was going to mention that i "thought" it was 14mm. Just didn't want to give out false info because i wasn't sure.

Worst case just try out different sizes and if they don't work return them until you get the right one.  Unless someone can tell you the correct size with certainty.

I wasn't meaning that as a negative comment, just stating for the record for future reference, it is 14mm

It's all good. I was being sarcastic with that statement anyway. Hard to convey over the WWW. [thumbsup]

Actually, I was wrong.

It is a 28mm hex bolt!!!

I would love to beat down the genius that decided on that set up, but I must first go on a quest to find one.........
