Ok, no local club to post in so I was wondering if there are in Ducati riders in south Louisiana. I just moved from south Florida to Baton Rouge, which is something of a Ducati wasteland as it were so I am looking for some like minded folks.
Don't know about the Baton Rouge area but down here in New Orleans there are quite a few. But not many actually get together for anything.
Check out rocketmadness.com for sportbike and trackday info. It's basically where to go to meet other Louisiana riders. Quite a lot of Baton Rouge peeps on RM.
One of our favorite DFW DMFers is moving to NOLA in a coupla weeks, DesmonsterS4RS.
He mentioned wanting to start up a La club [thumbsup]
I understand there's a new Duc dealer down there?
Yeah, they've been a Vespa/Triumph dealer for a while and just got Ducati in the last couple weeks.
New Orleans is a strange little town. We have quite a lot of Ducati owners here. But not many of them hang out and you rarely see a Ducati on the streets here. I know about 10 or so owners and none of them know each other....or have even met each other. It's kinda strange.......
Mike you are telling me that there is now a dealer in the Big Easy, and my scooter sits in Birmingham waiting to be repaired? As of the 25 of July there was no dealer listed in New Orleans on the Ducati website, that would make my life a whole lot better.

why wouldnt you take it to pensacola instead? live in north LA or something?
That is a good question Matt, actually I am moving to north Alabama in the next year, hopefully, and I wanted to establish a relationship with the shop that I would be using once I moved, even though Houston or Pensacola was a little closer, but several things have changed since I dropped it off at Bogarts.
They seem like a great group of people but they need to hire some more help. I have had a hell of a time getting call backs from them, for little things, like when is the part going to be in and when will the bike be ready, you know, little things. I am not saying that I wouldn't bring it to them again, I am just frustrated since my part came in last Friday, I spoke to the service writer and he told me, but the service manager did not know it so my bike did not get finished until today. Literally it took them 20 minutes to install the part so I could have gotten it this past weekend instead of having to go up this Friday.
I will be better when I get it back since it has been more than a month since I have gone for a ride.

I am here ! I will be living on the West Bank of the Mississippi. I would love to get some type of get-togethers started for the Duc riders down here. I know for me that was one of the best things about owning a Ducati was all the great friends I made.
The dealer just had there Ducati premiere party at the beginning of the month. http://www.thetransportationrevolution.com (http://www.thetransportationrevolution.com)
