Title: 749-999 help
Post by: truckinduc on August 17, 2008, 08:34:42 PM
can someone give me some 749-999 swingarm measurements?

I need to know axle diameter

I need to know pivot axle diameter

i need to know swingarm pivot inside to inside measurements.

Im also wondering if a 95 M900 wheel would come close to bolting in.

Thanks everyone.

ok, since that is true i can make some new axle adjuster blocks that are 17mm. Im debating on buying a swinger. My main concern is the pivot size. I know the engine case has bearings but i would have to narrow it a little.

AFAIK the modification to the engine case is pretty simple if you have any experience in fabrication. Since you're doing completely custom suspension, I really wouldn't worry about the pivot.

so whats AFAIK mean anyway?  Ya narrowing the case should be easy. I have to extend the frame down like on the superbikes.

People are really not going to know what my bike is, even some ducati people im sure.

AFAIK = As far as I know.

I don't think you need to extend the frame down. I believe the Superbike swingarms mount the same as an s*r swingarm.
