Make that two people! I am in if this deal happens. Kevin, you and I are about the same size, what size vest do you wear? I'm about 5'9" (maybe taller on days with less gravity [laugh]) and weigh about 178 if that's any help. I'm not totally familiar with that brand and model but it sounds great and I have been interested in a hot weather riding vest to put under my mesh jacket. That 100+ degree crap is for the birds... it's cramping my summer riding. [moto]

They are one size fits most. They have adjustable shoulder straps and straps on the side. As for the brand they are made for Moto Liberty.

Duke On sunny days needs a hat for sure.
Doggles are cool, but more would be better.

I wonder if he would even tolerate it?

???

There is definitely some kind of liquid/solid freeze thing going on.
It just happens about 30° warmer than it does with water/ice.

Trippy.

Instructions just said soak in ice water, so maybe that's enough to freeze this particular variety of goo into a solid.  Now I want the vest just to experiment with the little bags of goo.

OK, this thread is starting the "continental drift" we are famous for. Kevin, amongst all the posts are there enough folks to make the "buy now" discount?? If so how do we work out the hard details? Do you give ML the order? Does the money go to you (hmmm, I wonder? [laugh]), cut checks to ML and give them to you, pay ML when they get in... ?? Details please.

Sorry about being MIA guys... the family is back home from out of town so my forum duties have been suspened unitl now.

Ronr and Mckraut.... thanks got you guys down.

As for collecting on said vests we can do this anyway you like. You can call or stop by ML and tell them you are there to pick up a vest through this group buy that I set up. If they look at you all confused just ask them to check with Audrey and she will know what you are talking about. If you stop by there store obviously you can pay by whatever means suit you best. You can also call the store and tell them to ship it to you and pay over the phone. Finally we can have easties meet up and I can bring the vest and you can settle up then although ML no longer accepts checks so it would have to be cash money.

So take your pick and if for any reason you have any trouble or need any help just let me know... there are several vests in stock so availability shouldnt be an issue.

[thumbsup]

Sounds great and easy. My two favorites. I'll just watch the thread and see where the masses take it. I'm good with going by the store or a mass eastie meet up. They have kindly taken a check from me even after they told me they didn't (guess that old fart/gray hair "he wouldn't lie to me" thing still works! [thumbsup]) but I have no problem going universal green gift certificates or CC. Looking forward to checking the vest out! Doubt we are anywhere finished with hot TX weather... unfortunatley. :P Hell, the high today during the Rich move was 99!!! Ugh!

You can go ahead and pay. I have enough vests with me to get one to all that have ordered one. You will just need to either phone your payment into ML or give me cash when we meet up. I had planned to bring them all to Rons on Sunday but there are quite a few of them and I had planned to ride over so please let me know if anyone plans to be at Rons and would like me to bring their vest with me. Ill cage it if I have to. Also if anyone is riding with us tomorrow and would like to stop by my house before or after you can pick up your vest then, Ill even throw them in the freezer for you  ;)

I am bringing one for the following to Rons...

Ronr

Super Duke
Tommy

Anyone else?

Kevin,

I tried to PM you but the POS just sat there for a couple of minutes in vapor lock mode after I hit send msg. and apparently ate my PM and gave me a system failure message. :P Went by ML today and paid. Kept the receipt and the gal that checked me out jotted my name down. I'll team up with you at some DMF get together for the hand off or you can take it back to ML and leave it with Peter. Let me know what works for you. [thumbsup]

The boring German cycle forums all seem to like the Widder vests better - they seem to get great service if there are problems - and many comment that the fit seems better - and they like the heated sleeves ( which connect to the vests & chaps too.  Of course they are probably also riding on ice with lugged tires - not the standard thing in Texas.  I have never tried either but I would like a heated vest for sure !
