I think that was the real reason he dident ride this weekend. 2009 is going to rock.
Ducati will start his career by the following:
Insists that he finishes High School.
Insists that he learns how to speak proper English since he gives the impression that all Americans are uneducated hicks.
Insists that he stops saying (ya now wat'm saiyn) since it seems that Melandri makes more sense when he speaks.
Ducati need Haga to race for MotoGP.
I don't wanna cause no fight....
but can I ride your magic bike?

If all this turns out to be true then Hayden really ought to enjoy working with a team that's actually happy for him to be with them.

Well, it's not like Stoner or his crew are going to share any info with him (part of the reason Melandri says he's happy to leave), so I doubt it'll mean much more than they see each other for lunch in the hospitality trailer.
Thanks for sharing. [thumbsup]
If Nicky can't ride any better on a Ducati than he did on a Honda that Dani Pedrosa could win with than I say Nicky should try AMA. Dolph
If that's true I can't wait to see Hayden wrestling a Duc round the track.
I have always been a fan and really other than tennis players and golfers what professional sports person can string more than a few
cylinders ;) together.
Has anyone heard an NHL player interviewed lately.
Bummer...I had high hopes for Rossi to form the all-Italian winning tandem....
Wonder what Melandri is going to do now...RC bikes ?

Rossi has signed with Yamaha till 2010 and Melandri is likely to go to the Green Team
It`s a realy sad day for Ducati Corse :'(
Well at least better than signing Sete :P
I hope Nicky does well for Ducati. Honda seemed to view him as the proverbial red headed stepchild.
He may surprise us all and actually be able to ride the thing.
I say good on Ya Nicky. [thumbsup]
LA
Melandri has officially gone green...

And maybe Ben Spies to Ducati Xerox? That would be cool!

Hah. A little Who reference?
In the first half of the season I couldn't have guessed Hayden, would have thought Sete or Canepa.
Go Hayden! When was the last time a single team had two GP champions?

Yeah, Ducati needs Haga with is clown costume and great command of english.
Im really excited about Nicky joining Ducati. While I agree he isn't the most sophisticated, he's a nice guy and a great rider. Honda treats him like crap nowadays, so hopefully he'll get a bit more respect from the Italians.
i think nicky will look great in RED!!!! :-*

It's a V4, just as the RC212V he currently rides is. It is FAR from a V-Twin in characteristics and performance.
