Wow, I bummed that I may not make this. Got that whole dove hunt/opening day thing going but I will heading to Brownwood probably Friday or Saturday morning to help my friend work on his newly built ranch house and John Deere tractor. Bear Creek and Parkerville (coming from the north) are both fine. My street kinda sucks though. It went from chuck holes, to dirt, to way too much tar in the gravel. In the 90s or above you gotta ride the dry line, but it's possible!

Some kind of group food would be good, maybe a casserole or salad thing.
We're planning to have hamburgers and hotdogs and fixins but if you have a favorite bullneck (meat) feel free to bring it and throw it on the grill. Horse dourves or dessert snacks are good too. There's also an opening for something made with [bacon]

Either of those two exits provides access to tree tunnels, can't go wrong either way. Bear Creek is right out if you're looking for the scenic route. And don't be surprised if there is no Bear Creek exit right now. Lots of road construction going on, and they may have obliterated it.
When coming from I-20, those exits are in the following order:
Beltline
Parkerville
Bear Creek
We're in between P'ville and BC
Gates open at 14:00 hours
Come all the way up the driveway and park on the side of the house
Spending the night is optional. We have plenty of room and don't want anybody leaving if they're not safe.
