if you are interested in helping a great cause, like dainese safety gear, and want to strut your stuff at la ducati day 2008, please either post up here, or contact shelli @ sf dainese store ASAP.
a presto,
johnc

Yer ratio is all screwy. You should be asking for several dozen women, to model Ducati bikinis.

take it up with shlli @ dianese ... this is the ratio they want.
btw, we will have lots of umbrella girls @ LDD2008 ... mazda raceway laguna seca is bringing their umbrella girls, and we have a few other vendors bringing bikini clad vixens.
my bad -
and if you'd clean them, they would be bling bling white. :o

generally i rather like the 3 girls, and only 1 guy...me....so might have to pass! LOL Sorry you opened the door on that one John! see you at the next meet.
there will be LOTS of umbrella girls at LDD2008, so if dainese wants more male models than female models, i am secure enough to let this be the way dainese wants their show to be.

It's actually Dainese sizing, not Euro. Dainese sizing is 10 digits higher than Euro; if you're a men's 40 Euro, then you're a men's 50 in Dainese. I would love to model the women's gear but I'm a 44 (samples are size 42). The clothing samples are from the 2009 collection (coming soon), so there's only one of each.
What we really need to know is what these sizes are in American. ?? I don't know a women's 42 from a 44 from a 32 ... ???

uh, i posted what shelli emailed me ... so if the sizing is not right, please confirm with shelli and post up confirmation here.

what duqette says!!!
So here's the important bit... When can we expect to see the new women's line modeled and posted in this thread?

there will be a blockade on all photos of the 2009 dainese fashion show picts until an appropriate time after LDD2008 ... so mark your calendar to attend LDD2008 and be ahead of the pack.
o.k. ... perhaps not a blockade ... but don't be a tool ... attend LDD2008 to see these cool new dainese products firsthand.
a presto,
johnc

i dropped by sf dainese store this afternoon (grazie again for the cafe, dan and shelli).
shelli confirmed that the sizing IS indeed euro sizing.

My jacket says "42" on the inside of it but it's a little big. Just bought it because is was on sale years ago. You can probably find a better fit for your gear but if you're lacking for a model let me know. I'll grab a paper bag and some of your gear and strut my stuff in a pinch... [cheeky] What's in it for the models? Free leather one piece, right? ;D

Yeah, well a pair of boobs are required for that outfit. [coffee]
Oh, and I assume I'd be modeling
riding gear. I don't do bikinis, tank tops, hot pants, high heels or anything made of spandex. Leave that nonsense to the umbrella girls. [cheeky] Protective riding gear only please for me. Kthxbye. ;D

As if we didn't have enough boobs running around in this group... We need two more? [cheeky] [laugh] [laugh]
I'd be willing to support the cause for protective gear by actually wearing some in public, but I remain unenlightened about the size requirement. Someone post up what a 42 is in US and end this mystery!
Plus, I might be a bit long in the tooth. The contrast between those cute little jail-bait umbrella girls and a woman old enough to be their mother might be a bit too much.... :-X

Should be a US32 or so, they're typically 10 over the US size.

??? US sizes for girls are like 6, 8, 10 .... Start at 2 (or even 0, what's with that?) for tiny and go all the way up to 24 (or more) for operatic.

The point of the "0" designation was to allow gentleman of the lesser sort of ilk something pick on their girlfriends about. At that point, weight harassment is no longer feasible but one could now state in front of their woman that "I'm dating a real zero", because some of us just don't have enough things we could get slapped over.
For the record the Dainese size is the Euro size. To get the men's size in the US or UK simply subtract 10. A Euro 52 = US 42.
according to the Dainese sizing chart a woman's E 42 = US 9/10

It's all cool I figured as much. The site resizes pics automatically so it does make it hard to read.
Good luck with your fashion event.
My Dainese 2-piece leathers are size 40, and fit pretty well (a bit of room to spare). I wear 0/2 in US sizes.

I guess I missed something during training. Oops.
I'm a US 8/10 on top and a 6 on the bottom, but 44 for both in Dainese sizing. Go figure.
I usually wear a size 8, but when 'Belle posted up that she wears a 42 I figured there was no way (even if it's "a little roomy"), since I look like the StayPuff Marshmallow Girl next to her. [cheeky]
I think they need someone who wears a 4 to 6.
