Buell has provides factory suggested suspension setting charts based on the rider's weight for both the front and rear suspension. I think these charts are in the owner's manual. Here is an example:

Does Ducati offer anything like this? This could be really helpful. I never know where to start when riding a bike that is new to me and often I don't have time to figure it out if I only have the bike for a short time.
I think Harley Davidson has a similar suspension adjustment settings. However, they do not use weight since the riders are mostly illiterate. They use catagories such as:
Chunky/ Hard
Lardy/ Harder
Lard Ass/ Very Hard
Lard Ass with Lard Ass female asleep on the back/ Max Hard
Drunk Lard Ass with drunk female asleep on the back/ Normal.
Just for fun with a lot of truth.
