ok this is a silly but do-able idea..... it would be a DMF and invited riders thing ....
SO I'v been on alot of local rides and I'm always wanting to go further ...
.... I got thinking; how's about a progressive ride where prople could join in and drop out as time and distance permitted .... this could be done between to cities like Vancouver to Seattle ... OR Van, Seattle Portland ... San Fran; LA ... hell you could do this clean around north america ... just a thought. Post away. [moto]
... just finished reading a guys post form Austin and it would be great to do that Lukinbock run in Tx ....
on a smaller scale ... as an experiment I'll propose a group ride for Rain Delay Sunday Au 31 08; I'll be starting at 9:15 am in Vancouver leaving from "Prado Cafe" coffee bar at 4th (or 5th?) & Commercial Dr and plan to cross at Sumass; meet for coffee at a Sumas resturant on the main strip with the Ducatis parked in front at 11 am and head to Mt Baker by 11:30am fron Sumas, another meeting pickup point for those comming from the, Seattle Seattle area Maple Falls at 12; Break in Glacier for lunch 12:30ish Mt Baker Ski Area and back in a day. Ride would be a go at you own easy pace, saftey first, enjoy the scenery and twisties. Intersted post away or emaol me at david.neu at hotmail.com .
Cheers Dave

No worries Dude; I'll propose 2nd ride in September; lets go for Sept 20-21 weekend.
The idea would be to avoide an interstate, they'd be a no go zone and a challenge to avoid.
Well just have to settle on a route ... maybe further south; central Wa but ouside a circle that We'd all do; a long ride would be Sumass - #1to Hope; #3 Manning Park, #3 to Princeton - Osyoosous; Cross back into Wa State; 97 south; to #20 or 2 or 97 to Yakama; Raineer; 410; 18; 203; 9 or Chucanut Drive ... ok this is overambitious to do in a day ... but we can work on the route ... Cheers Dave
Duci,
Thanks for the thought, but my schedule is pretty hectic. In fact that weekend are the Bonneville Salt Flat races which I plan to go to and the weekend before is the races in Indy, thank god I don't work during the week so I have time to ride ;D
Are you talking about Vancouver BC or WA ? I'm in WA... This fall I might be up for this... [thumbsup]

If he was talking about Mt St Helens instead of Mt Baker, then he'd be in the 'couv. 8)

Hey Scooby:
Good to hear your intrested ... i'l keep ypu posted, yes I know your in Wa.
I'll be leaving 9:30 am Vancouver,
BC, Canada going to Sumass Wa; Mount Baker .... Au 30 08
... the idea being that Duc's would join in where time; distance & convenience - permitted for a rider; and planning another ride to another destination Sept 20-21 weekend.
I'll start another post after the Baker run. Cheers dave
PS I'm out of town Sun - wed; but post away while im away from an internet connection; I'll do a weather etc update then.
Bono is a Tool.
Alright, barring any family obligations that may arise between now and the departure time, I'm in. I'll join in right at the start of the ride in Vancouver. Where on Commercial Dr. is the starting line?
[thumbsup]
one confirmed for the duration good! ( I have a number of fence sitters understandably with that being the long weekend).
1st and commercial and I'll race you to 33ird from there .... ;D
or we could meet for a coffee first at ... continental coffee or prado at 9:15 am ... let me know you prefrence.
pm a mobile number .. cheers DD
I'm in for this ride, especially if you can bring me a coffee from Prado...... [coffee] seriously. I'm here in The Ham and Prado is THE BEST coffee around. One cup of their brewed stuff kept me jacked from Commercial Dr clear to the second ferry up the Sunshine Coast......ZING!!!
It's VERY easy to do this ride without any highway. Especially if you're dropping down into Sumas. Hook into South Pass Rd and it will be a nice connector to everything else. Add in Mosquito Lake Rd to Hwy 9......welll...... [clap]
Cheers.
ok we have number that have pmed / confirmation / intrest now; we'll keep an eye on the weather ... [moto]
PM your moblie number just in case and or joint in along the way;
also reminer .... those crossing the boarder will need a passport; original of proof of ownership and original insurance papers ... and all the other typical boarder stuff... I'm hoping the lineup isn't long crossing both ways ...

Mosquito Lk Rd looks good!, thanks for suggesting; we'll try to incorpoprate at the Maple Falls Stop.
Rain Delay Sunday Au 31Note leaving Vancouver from at Prado cafe at 9:15 am (4th & Commercial Dr).
