HIYA ALL!!!
So, Been a noob since March of this year, started "right" on GREAT deal on 07 Ninjette w/jus 400 miles on her...modded her w/all my flushmounts, pink flames ETC, have 3400++ miles and 5 months riding and after longish ride to Daytona, decided after sitting on new 696 it is MEANT for me and I am READY, but been shoppin for used, feeling not earned "new bike rights" yet. Found sweet 06 Dark, 300 miles on it in Miami on consignment at Ducati Miami and, since needing to drive down to p/u VW Bug we "won" on Ebay for daughter, decided to go see/hoped to buy Monster. WELL, got there and shocked how ppl care for their bikes (or do NOT)...then, sat on BRAND NEW, white 696 while there and that was IT.....bought it!!
Had to follow the Beasty Boy home on truck w/hubbi while I drove Bug-thru nasty rains WAAH! I am SOO frustrated as it sits in shop and rains still dumping on us, Tks for FAY GEEZ! FIRST sign of let up, I am riding! Will take it EZ of course, know about new tires being kinda slippy and expect a BIG diff in throttle from lil Ninjette DUH!
Any suggestions for my first ride(s)?
SO happi to be a DUC owner and look forward to hooking up w/others for rides too.

Welcome! Love your new bike. I have the same one. I find this bike to be soooo user friendly. Don't worry. Shifting is smooth and easy. The power is not scary and the bike handles wonderfully.

What is the closest Ducati dealer to Orlando. I am going to visit my kids in Sept. (son works in Orlando, daughter at school in Ft. Myers) and would like to check out a shop while I'm there.

YEAH! After Fay finally let up, finally got my first ride this morning on the Beasty Boy and OMG!!! This bike is so perfect for me in so many ways! Glad to be a fellow Duc owner and look forward to meeting up with more and riding a TON! Already booked trip to King, NC with hubbi to meet up for rides with his Triumph Speed Triple online buds end of next month, so GOTTA get some miles on my bike and thru the "break-in" LOL
PSS: Nearest dealer to Orlando is Ride Now, Longwood....but we ended up buying from Miami Ducati-LONG story, had to be down there anyways. But, not been to Longwood one yet. There's also dealer in Daytona, well worth drive to plaza full of different dealers and vendors, off I-95. PM or email me when ur down, maybe can ride with you to dealer or nice Lake County roads here. TKS!

Thanks for the info. I hope I can get there. I will give you a shout if I can. I have been wanting to see all the shops in Daytona. The last time I drove through there was in the middle of the night and never had time to go back. Glad to see Fay has finally left you. Enjoy your riding!
