Title: My trip to Barbers motorcycle museum.
Post by: eichh on August 24, 2008, 05:09:03 AM
I asked you guys before if it was worth a long trip to go see and you all agreed it was.  It took me 11 hours 700 miles $45 in gas (one way). I dodged a low flying hawk, someone almost side swiping me twice, a tire explosion on a concrete truck and a tire coming off a mobile home at 80 mph I had to use the shoulder for that one but I rode the S4 to it, needless to say I had high expectations. I went there the next morning and was amazed it was 10 am on Thursday so there may have been 50 people there and the place is huge so it was like I was by myself. I figured that was going to be the only time I will ever see all those bikes again under one roof so it was well worth it and I recomend the trip to anyone it is a beautiful facility.  [thumbsup] I have a ton of pictures but I cant seem to remember how to post them here its been a while.I stayed at the comfort inn in Moody (5 minutes away) they had a desprately needed hot tub, I did take 2 days to come back due to the sore knees and legs and I believe my clutch has issues but I will post that in tech. Take care, Eichh

I live in Jacksonville, Fl, yet work with a bank in Birmingham, in fact I am in Birmingham right now.

Yeah, Barber is awesome.

Have you seen the new Alabama license plates you ca get that are "Barber" plates.

I have seen bikes and cars with them here.

I went to Bogart's yesterday and hung out picked up a T shirt and poked around.

Some nice roads to ride here need my bike......

Barber,,,,, amazing what a dairy farmer can do...
