so yesterday I noticed my bike was leaning over a little more than usual on the stand, but I just wrote it off as my imagination.

So today I go to do my oil change, and I happen to look down as I'm putting the stand down and i see the whole bracket pivot.  Great.  Look closer, the bolt that affixes the stand bracket/plate thing to the engine is gone.  Must have vibrated off while riding sunday.

Anyway, 04 620.  Anyone know if that bolt is some super special bolt that needs to come from Italy or is it something i can pick up elsewhere?  I have the part number, but that doesn't help me try to find one at the hardware store.

Thanks in advance.
Andy

ps - before anyone tells me I should've used blue loctite, I have never removed the stand.  The last folks who might've were my dealer.  I'll certainly be using some blue locktite when I replace it.

I have a spare, ill measure it tomorrow morning and let you know, just send me a PM to remind me to PM you back. You should be able to pick it up at any shop that sells fasteners (though this one is fairly large)

if i have find 2 spares, i can sell you the other one.

Capo

The stand bracket is fixed to the engine with two bolts, the first is (the one you have lost) is a socket head cap screw M10X25. The second fixing is via the foward foot rest bracket, you should check the torque on this.

Any bolt will work fine, try to engage as many threads as possible, those threads in the cases love to strip out.

I couldn't find one at the Home Depot near me so I went by the dealer praying they'd have one in stock.

luckily, they did and it was only like $2.  Sure, still kind of expensive but I was expecting it to be like $5-$8.

installed and everything is hunky dory now.

Thanks everyone,

Andy
