I would suggest the Sport Classic GT 1000
Looks way cooler than the ST,

What are you smoking? That must be some good sh!t.

BTW, my wife has logged over 470 miles of mountain twisty fun on the back of my ST2 with the stock seat, dragging hard parts, and scrubbing the rubber off the tires.   ;D

Places I've been on two wheels:

IBA #32735

LA

"I'm leaving this one totally stock" - Full Termi kit, Ohlins damper, Pazzo levers, lane splitters, 520 quick change 14/43 gears, DP gold press plate w/open cover, Ductile iron rotors w/cp211 pads.

R90S (hot rod), 80-900SS, Norton 850 MkIII, S4RS

If you're going 2 up, go 2 up in style:

K1200LT

If that's too big for you, try a slightly smaller BMW:

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

In all seriousness, the SS was a fairly decent 2 up bike.  Judy claims to have been more comfortable on the back of that than the GS (alot to do with pillion altitude.)

Do look at the ST's.

BMW R1200GS or 1200GS Adventure.. awesome engine, very easy to ride, extremely comfy, can do a real huge amount of miles per tank if you're easy on the throttle and the aluminum luggage is simply huge!

The smaller bro - 800GS is equally good, weighs less, goes just as fast and is cheaper is also great for pillion comfort.

Pluses on the 1200GS - no chain to oil, uses mineral oil, cheap servicing, you have to do something really really stupid to drop the bike, looks hard, resale value is always better than japanese equivalents.

The BMW R1200RT is another great pillion bike.

You CAN do anything with these bikes. I'd highly recommend one.
