exhaust options simplified, i hope- can I get some feedback?

After researching some of the way you folks upgrade your exhaust, I think I have a good indication of how to proceed with my mine. 05 S2R 800 that is completley stock (yes even had the charcoal canister)
I dont want to do an ecm remap for the exhaust, so these are my options..
1. Termi slip ons
2. Stock cans but remove converter and put a straight mid pipe
3. Keep the converter, but remove the stock cans and put on two short resonator tips (local exhaust shop) off of   the converter
Any suggestions?

Core your stock pipes and get a new mid pipe.

First off everything I say has to do with my person experience with my s2r800. 

If you leave the udder on (converter) you can pretty much do anything without having to get a power commander and remap. When you go to having a full system or a new mid pipe you really start messing the flow and should get a PCIII.

So if you add your own tips to the udder, just take off the pipes past the udder, or get slip on's you should be ok.  One suggestion though you should at least have the tps reset if you do this.

How many miles are on your s2r800?

cored cans sound nuts on the S2R  and it's free.

Leave the udder on (if you don't mind the look) and get whatever you want after that.  When you take it in for the 6,000 mile service they will tune it up for your set up and you will have what feels like a whole new bike.

I vote to get rid of the udder as it is hideous, heavy and makes the bike even hotter.

As for silencer go with whatever you like...
