What is this?

My wife watched me ride away the other day.  She insists that this little round plastic piece fell off my bike as I was pulling away. She recovered it from the driveway, so I think it actually may have some from the bike. 

Any idea what it is?  It's plastic, not soft like a rubber bumper

Looks like the spacers that go in between the fins of the engine. Mine fall out all the time. I think someone called them Duc Turds once.

Not a big deal if I remember correctly.

JBubble is correct.

They're used to dampen noise (fin ring) on the air cooled Ducs.

It won't be long before they all fall out.   

Unless the noise bothers you don't worry.

It's a built in game. you're supposed to try and kick them as they fall out.  Surprisingly enough I still have some on my '95.
