What is this?

My wife watched me ride away the other day.  She insists that this little round plastic piece fell off my bike as I was pulling away. She recovered it from the driveway, so I think it actually may have some from the bike. 

Any idea what it is?  It's plastic, not soft like a rubber bumper

Looks like the spacers that go in between the fins of the engine. Mine fall out all the time. I think someone called them Duc Turds once.

Not a big deal if I remember correctly.

JBubble is correct.

They're used to dampen noise (fin ring) on the air cooled Ducs.

It won't be long before they all fall out.   ;)

Unless the noise bothers you don't worry.

It's a built in game. you're supposed to try and kick them as they fall out.  [roll] Surprisingly enough I still have some on my '95.  ;D
