Ordering Parts and trying to do this myself

So after my spill a week ago, I started ordering parts. At the beginning I thought I could do it myself but now I am kind of hesitant. Replacing the pressure plate looks easy enough but I needed to order the Clutch hub from the dealer. (The middle looking gear thing that you screw in the pressure plate on to.) Since I never did anything like this in my life, I am worried I am going to mess something up and do more damage. I want to do it myself to learn more about the bike and get into the mechanics of it all but I am a little nervous.

I live in NJ and was wondering if anyone who had mechanical experience would be able to come over and help me put on these parts on my bike once I order everything I need. I am willing to compinsate for your time. I can go to the dealer and they would do it all but I would like to do it myself and/or see it done to learn.

So far this is the list of parts I ordered:
SpeedyMoto Pressure Plate
SpeedyMoto Spring kit
Right OEM foot break lever
Pazzo racing levers
OEM clutch hub
Replacement pucks for frame sliders

Still need to order:
DP Performance mirrors with intergrated blinkers.
Some kind of clutch cover
Monsterparts carbon rear fender
Rizoma signal lights for the back

I think that is a complete list of stuff I need. Some of this parts are coming in from Italy so it could be a little bit before they come so there is no hurry on this being put on the bike.

I know you guys are busy and I don't want to waste anyones time. But if anyone would be willing to come over and help me put this thing together in the next month or two, it would be great learning experience for
me.

Your shopping list looks all pretty basic, you shouldn't have too much trouble doing any of that work even if you've never done any of it before (assuming you're even slightly mechanically inclined). Just remember to -

-"remember" the position of the pressure plate (needs to go on a specific direction) and torque the bolts evenly by tightening every other one.
-liberally lube the o ring on the push rod so as not to damage it when reinstalling, or you can just pull the slave and take remove from that side of the bike.
-when making your electrical connections, use heat shrink tubing when splicing. It looks worlds better than electrical tape and probably works better too.

If you have any questions I'm sure if you search the DMF's tech board, or even TOB, you'll find a ton of helpful info. Getting a service manual probably won't hurt either. Don't be scarred to work on your own bike, it's part of the joy of owning one...

Thanks Goldenchild. I want to learn more about this stuff, that is why I want to do it myself. I downloaded the workshop manual. I was going to hit print untill I noticed it was 540 pages. So i just printed out the stuff I needed.  [thumbsup]

Still would be nice to have someone with me that knows what the hell they are doing.

I have a stock clutch cover from my S4Rs, not sure if you want to go that way but I'm not using it.

Thanks for the offer Steve but since I am going with the Speedymoto pressure plate I will order some kind of open one. There were two or three I really liked not sure which one I will get yet.
