Does anyone know where I could buy one locally? Do the dealerships carry them? I haven't seen anything on their websites.

Just looking for a single ramp to get my bike into my house for the winter... and onto the truck for when I have to bring it to BCM in the middle of winter for new forks.

I'm going to post-up in the 'parts-wanted' section but I'd prefer to buy and pick up locally so not sure how lucky I'll get.

Nothing on Craigslist or Ebay either.

Thanks guys/gals.

Go to Home Depot / Lowe's and get some pickup truck loading ramps.  Aluminum folded ones work great.  I would recommend getting 2 so you have one to walk up ... Makes it a lot easier  [thumbsup]

I got mine from Checker Auto Parts. It was about 60 bux I think. 600lb capacity, folding and has a strap to hook to the bumper so it doesn't shift when loading the bike....

I got mine at Lowes.

They suck.

The crossbars are spaced too far apart to walk up or down without your feet falling through unless all you look down while walking.

If I was going to do it again I'd buy moto specific ones like this.

I paid less than that for a pair...and got just what I paid for.

That particular one is about as short as I'd get too. The real short ones are convenient as you can close the tailgate, but make loading tough.

How far up do you have to go? I used two 2x8 (8 feet long) with ramp ends that I got at Lowes, near the lawn mowers and chain saws if I remember right. I used them to get into my place which was up only a couple of stairs. Cheap and worked well.

Only a few steps. I was thinking a 7 foot, 2x8 would work well.

2x8 PT and aluminum ends has been working for me... Heavy though

FYI, just bought a set of folding ramps at Tractor Supply, $54 a piece.  They are steel, not alum, lists max wgt as 800lbs distributed wgt.  These don't use the lousey bars like the aluminum.  Not sure how close you are to NH...
