packing aftermarket exhaust

I've got the arrow exhaust pipes in my s2r 800.  Anyone ever putting exhaust packing in these pipes?  I'm wanting to tone them down just a bit.

Assuming the factory packing is not burnt out if you want more quiet you will want to install db eaters or trade someone for 85 db pipes
