Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

So I went solo.  -Me

OK, I like the Cramps... but who the hell let them play at a Mental Institution?  That has bad decision all over it...

OH that sucks balls...

"Bad Music For Bad People" is one of my lifetime top 20 favorite albums.  In my opinion the Cramps made up a lot of the punk/rockabillly/lo-fi protoplasm that has spawned generations of good bands.  Lux is now melting the faces of angels with pure psychobilly.  RIP, We hardly knew ye...

Honestly, until these clips were posted, I had never heard of the Cramps, but now I'm sorry he's gone too. Gonna go check them out.
(Don't laugh, but until now, I thought psychobilly pretty much originated with the Reverend Horton Heat)

There was a pretty good Rockabilly/Psychobilly thread on ToB... There's plenty of folks who like this sort of music on he board - if you're looking for other bands start a thread and you'll get some suggestions

Cramps may well have been the 1st.  But they were a little more out there, so didn't have as wide an appeal as someone like the rev.
