What should my oil temp be on a M620ie when I'm riding?

That seems really low...  Like barely warmed up!

My 695 has been running about 200 lately...  But that's with the DP ECU, and about 50 degrees outside

My 695 usually runs around 210-240 when warmed up (with the DP ECU).

150-160 seems really low but I'm guessing your only riding in 50/60 degree weather right now.

My 620 ran at about 230-240 or so at 90 degrees before I installed the oil cooler now it pretty much stays in the 210 range on the hottest of days unless I am sitting for a LONG time.

I wouldn't worry about temp unless it is reading HI which mine never has.

Pick up an oil cooler, one of the best mods I've done so far

My M750 runs...  Well, I don't know, Ducati wasn't concerned enough to put a gauge, rather they just put an oil temp light.  I'd say you're fine unless you see lights you're not used to seeing lighting up on the dash.

the weather here is getting up to high 50s and low 60s.  My 620 is running at 210 on the freeway.  It will run a little hotter in the summer, I am sure.

Thanks,
Mine has been siting around 220, so that seem normal.
I have been thinking about the oil cooler but at $500.00 was not sure if it was worth it.

Don't buy it from the dealer or in a kit.   Get the parts seperate and you'll save probably 300 bucks. [thumbsup]

Well worth it for 200 or 250.  Look on ebay and there is usually at least the cooler part and then all you need are the lines, fittings, and the flapper for under the filter.

My 2006 S2R-1000 runs in the 210-235 range, and that is riding in the Texas Summer heat, but it does have the oil cooler as standar equipment. I personally would not worry until I saw temps of over 250.

Now that I have done some search on the forum on the topic of oil cooler, I think this would be a great mod to my M620.  It's relatively inexpensive and offers real world improvement (prevent over heating, prolong the engine life, and some might claim added performance), not just visual improvement.

I've seen some oil cooler for sale on ebay.  Most of them are off Monsters that come with oil coolers as a standard, like an S4 or those with larger engine desplacement.  Would those oil cooler fit on M620?  I couldn't find a good write up on the installation.  Anybody out there with experience or know of a good write up?

Thanks guys.
