Awesome.  My kind of trip: just pack it and go.  Would have loved to keep going south when I went to San Diego last month.

If the road didn't turn to dirt shortly after San Felipe, I might not have stopped.   
Even then, Saturday morning I was bugging the other two with casual "let's keep going" suggestions.   

I need something with knobby tires.
