T5 is a great spot! I would not feel bad about not riding...it rains everytime! In fact, does anyone know how many AMA races have been dry at RA? It's something like 2 ever.

Aww that makes me think about the year you proposed on Turn 5.   :-*  I will always have a special spot in my heart for that track.

They don't call it "Rain America" for nothing.

Friday was about the best ride over....ever.  And I have been going since event one in 1980.

Saturday it rained off and on all day, rain is the great equalizer, all the factory HP in the world is washed out, pun intended, on rain tires.

Sunday was dry and cool all day, awesome SB feature.  Larry Pegram won it on a 1098.  Numerous lead changes with Mladin on the Suck-zuki.  4 in one lap, and many of the lead changes happening in turn 5.  Pegrams first national win in something like 10 years.  Best race I have watched in a while, catch it on Speed if ya can.

Then there was the long haul home in the rain.  My kid rode his Monster over and most of the way back.  We were passing a long string of trucks near Knapp Wi, it quit.  Short version is caught a buddy on the way home with his trailer to assist.  Musta just got doused good, it fired up today and closer exam revealed the plug wires should have been replaced BEFORE the trip.

I didnt see the have a Brat memo till today, but rest assured I had one!  And Eggers for breakfast in the paddock.

Awesome! I love that track. Sounds like it was the best superbike race in a long while. I was watching pre race interviews with Mladin and he was complaining about their bike being down on top speed from all of the other teams. He said that it didn't matter because he was going to out brake everyone.... [laugh] Sounds like Pegram showed him some late braking.
Bummer about stalling but at least you got a lift, that's some serious luck.

And good on ya for having a brat without getting the "memo"...it's mandatory when at RA [beer]

Mladin was whining about giving up 10 MPH on the top end during the podium interviews as well.  Good on ya Larry!
