Can I use my Ducati tender (OEM Deltran Waterproof 800) on my Jeep's battery if I get a SAE-alligator clip adapter cable?

short answer: yes, maybe not optimal but better than nothing

No reason why not.

Mind you, it'll take a while to charge up that big a battery (hence Keld's "not optimal" comment.

Also this belongs in tech.

I own several motorcycles. I have owned lots of motorcycles. And have bolted and/or modified lots of crap to said motorcycles...

Thanks all.  I wanted to confirm I could dual-purpose my battery tender on my Jeep when I go on a two week vacation this summer.    [moto]

I had a 1981 F-150 pickup that accidentally had the interior light left on for a couple of weeks.  The battery was very dead when I realized what had happened.  I hooked up the jumper cables between the truck and my Mustang and even after ten minutes I wasn't able to start it.  But that little bit of power transfer was enough to get the battery to the level where my Battery Tender would then charge it.  It took about 30 hours to fully charge the battery, but it eventually topped it off.

The battery was probably the only decent thing on the truck when I drove it down to the salvage yard to get crushed.  (California pays you $650 to get old vehicles off of the road, and nobody wanted to pay me more than that for the beat up old truck.)
