Thought you might want to know we all have picked a winner, of course we already new that.  [beer]

I've ridden the Street Triple R with the arrow GP exhaust and I came awefully close to purchasing it instead of a monster. I like the torque coming on quicker with the Monster but the STR is a very nice bike as well, I may have to pick up a used one down the road.

I get the impression that I should care, but I don't know why I should.

Please, someone explain.  What is Vertical Scope?

There are some posts around here somewhere about it and a great video.  Someone can track 'em down for you if you're interested in more info.

Short version:  The DML (aka TOB) was home.  It was sold to Vertical Scope, a Canadian company (thus all the comments about damn Canadians).  VS said it would be fine and nothing would change.  This place was quietly built as an insurance policy in case VS screwed up the DML.  When VS flipped the switch on the "new" DML, the entire moderator core resigned and the DMF went live.  Some people don't go to or link to Vertical Scope sites so as not to give them the 'click'.

Sorry for the threadjack.  We should prolly get back to discussing the Street Triple R v. 1100.  FWIW, I see a buncha the street triple Rs around here.

Ooohhhh...

THAT was Vertical Scope!  Yeah, I was on TOB, just forgot about who did what to whom.

Thanks.

They also did the same thing to several other moto boards.

I like the street triple R.  The dealer here only got two or three.  At the time about a year ago, he said Triumph was not going to ship as many bikes here because of the exchange rate - he just couldn't get his hands on any.  He has gotten a few standard triples since then but I don't go in there much.

Yeah, a V-Rod board I frequent is VS also. I almost have a seizure when I go on there.....

The problem is in bold. I choose not to click on his site.

My main home on the internet for years was gixxer.com.  The community has been slowly changing since the VS takeover.  Somehow I didn't know this site came to be, but I was sad to see how far the VS cancer had spread.
