I'm not going to mention the hosed scoring...I mean T Gonz SHOULD have gotten me 30+ points while Peyton only scored 9.  [roll]

And yeah, fumbles should be rewarded with 2 points.  [roll]

Never understood why people don't just take the suggested scoring from Yahoo...especially if they haven't run a league before.

WTF... As you can go look in my yahoo profile I have been playing for 6 + years.  Sorry this isnt your panzy ass Default yahoo league settings..  Yes I understand you have ran a league for the past couple years, but  I gave everyone a heads up about the scoring.. I have had these league settings for 2 years, and this is a Free League.. Its easy.. PPR League+return yards= Is more challenging. Plus there will always be extra people on the waivers all times..  For example Andre Caldwell is a fourth string guy who does returns and won a game for  Monsters this week. Its these small no name guys that you need spend that extra 5 mins and look up..

Sorry if you dont like it..

I think the issue with that type of scoring (and I will admit that I paid no attention to it) is that for this type of a group, it, quite frankly, isn't the best choice.  And by that I mean that this is a pretty casual FF league for FUN.

So for the last 6+ years, you have scored fumbles as positives?
Doesn't even warrant the time it takes to type a response.
I'll clear my roster so I can be the league bye week. Enjoy the game.

Yes a fumble that your player lost and your team recovers back you would get points.. If you fumbled the ball and the other team recovered you would lose points.. Seems simple to me..

Fumbles     2
Fumbles Lost  -2

No worries here if you choose not to play..

Seriously, it's cool if people want to quit after the first week?  :-\

For me, this league is just for fun.  No money, no stress, no whatever.  As such, I'm not going to spend the time researching players, trying to find that one guy who is going to (hopefully) get me a buttload of points based on the way the league is set up.

But whatever, you're the commish.

In football, a fumble is a negative whether your team recovers it or not. Ever play HS or college ball? Fumble the ball and even if your team recovers it, your coach is chewing you a new asshole.

The scoring is idiotic. It has nothing to do with tough or being a pansy or wtf ever adjective or adverb you want to throw my way. Between myself and our office, we have about 40 different leagues represented and not a single one of them have EVER heard of positive scoring for a fumble of any kind. It's simply assinine. End of discussion. Enjoy your league, boss masta man. Bet this is growing your e-peen by leaps and bounds huh?

fumbles reward points?

[laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

That so backasswards.

So you reward a player for sucking?

And even better...a running back fumbles 3 times in a game and is awarded as many points as scoring a touchdown.
Do you think his coach is sharing his elation?  [roll]

That makes no sense.

That guy got points for sucking the big one.

3 fumbles in a game?

I sometimes wish pro athletes were paid strictly on commission based off performance.

That's the truth. I've been in some leagues in the past. You could imagine I sucked.
