The new RF-1100 hit shelves locally and I got to play a little - my quick thoughts.

Fit's just like my RF-1000. For me, it's a perfect fit, I'm glad that didn't change. Looks more streamlined. Though I never had much problems with buffeting in my 1000, there was some perhaps the new design will reduce that.

Not really a pro or con - but the front vents seem exactly the same from the 1000 to the 1100. There's a lot of changes from one model to the next, so it seems odd that they *seemed* to just skip this.

Pros:
Larger viewing window. Though I didn't really have a gripe with my 1000, it is a bit better in the 1100.
New shape's a little more refined/modern looking
*Looks* likes the interior vent channels are laid out for even more air flow.

Cons:
The vents on the back are now 4 individually operated sliders. While it will allow for more ventilation (in theory) because of the larger potential exhaust area, they are going to be a hassle with gloves on. They were a little difficult to find and operate with bare hands - in gloves it'll be extra fiddly.

Over all, it looks like a nice update
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.
