Rode a '98 Kawi zx600e (sport-touring style ninja) for a couple years in Philly before I had to sell it when moving out here to Seattle .. back on the saddle w/ an '04 620.  I'll post some pics when I have them.  About me: 25 y.o. male Boeing engineer/project manager for the 787 landing gear.  Living on a houseboat on Lake Union until mid-July when I move back to Philly. Looking forward to some great riding, and to meet some new people.

Cheers!

Also, my first newbie question:  Why is it that Ducati owners call their bikes 'ducs' rather than 'dukes' ? I understand the spelling relation and all, but to me, duke has a pretty bad-a** ring to it, more so than duck.

Welcome Joe, hope you are having fun with your 620.  Looking forward to the pictures. [thumbsup]

When you get a chance, you might want to check in with your local group, NorthWest.  There's also a Philly group but they are located offsite: DeVal Mostro

As far as your question, the only reason that comes to mind is that "Duke" is associated with KTM, and we wouldn't want there to be any confusion. ;D

Maybe other people will have some other suggestions too.

Have fun! [moto]
