New Oz Monster

I'm doing the obligatory intro post.  My name is Stephen and I'm in NSW, near Newcastle.  I've recently sold my car and bought a M1100S, which I'm enjoying very much.  I rode a Suzuki GS500F a few years ago for about a year but have no other bike experience, so am a nervous novice!

Lots of other Oz Monsters around, make sure you go say g'day to them when you get a chance.

I also started on a GS500F, not a bad beginning bike.   Just take it easy, check out our Riding Techniques board, maybe look into some refresher riding classes if you like.

Thanks for the welcome.  I liked my GS500F but never really worked out what riding position I was supposed to adopt.  The fairing only shielded you lying down in a sports bike stance, but then the ergonomics were all wrong.  I prefer the Monster, which is an unashamedly upright riding bike.
