The old cars, tractors, buildings ???

Due to TV, there is a misconception that all ranchers/farmers live in houses like on 'Dallas'.  Well, in real life ranchers/farmers live in the same house and work the same land that their parents and their parents did.  They are far from rich and they use their trucks and equipment until they wont go anymore.

Yes, there are people that think their property is also a collection of "dead" farm equipment and trucks.  I think that's more the idea of, someday they will fix it and make it useful again, but that takes time and money and most ranchers/farmers don't have extra of either.

That is actually a great thing for car/farm equipment collectors though.  You can usually find gems hidden on farms.  [thumbsup]

It's just a way of life here really.  I personally love it, for the most part.  It's Americana.  We tend to bulldoze the old and build new on top of it...not so much for farm country...it's our piece of history if you will.

I took this one back on May 4.  I'm afraid how much gas is now at that place.

Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.

You got some great pics, and captured one of the many reasons I love motorcycling.

I think this post has inspired me to find some really rural roads and to buy a camera.  Now...what's rural around Boston...

From Boston, you are just a few hours within reach of some great rural areas.  Check out the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont
If you love your bike, set it free.
If it comes back to you, you've
probably high-sided.
