I'm not thinking the tuners are out of work.

I'm thinking a winning bike was dq'd without any proof it was illegal.

it's a requirement to make post-race tech. if you're bike didn't make it to tech, you didn't finish the race.

i understand what you're saying, but if you look at it in the context of a sprint race, it seems less evil.

It's not that it's evil exactly.

Rules are usually written to counter something going on.

If you write the rules so it's not necessary to cheat...

you need fewer rules.
