Hi, i'm mors vito and I have a 1997 Ducati Monster 750. I live in the Iowa/South Dakota area right now for school, but in the fall I will be transferring to a school in NC. I've never been to the east coast or for that matter NC. Therefore I have a question.
I only have my Ducati, no car/truck. Would that suffice when I'll be living close to campus? Because I hang up my bike for about 6 months out of the year here, and I read the other posts here saying that you guys don't really ever hang them up, so I think the answer may be that I don't need one. Even though it is -20 here I still walk just about everywhere.

And I hope to ride with some of you, because I love to ride!  [moto]

If you have seen my other posts here are some pics

Welcome to the area. I ride year around here. Usually the coldest it gets is around 20F in the winter, no need for a garage, just a good cover. Hit me up if you want to go riding, I live in chapel hill and know some good runs around the area. There are some great areas around Butner/Northern Durham, and around Jordan Lake with lots of twisties and minimum LEO presence [thumbsup] I think you'll like the NC roads for riding...and it's only a 2-3hr ride to the mountains for some of the best street riding you can find.

Whether you can ride year-round in NC depends largely on where you end up.

It tends to stay warmer toward the coast, but just ask Journeyman about how much snow he got this year up near Asheville.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

Yeah, which school are you transferring to?

That makes a huge difference.
