Difference between an 09 and a 10 Monster 1100?

Hey all, I just picked up a 2010 1100s and wanted to kit it out with some side bags and a luggage rack. I tend to do a lot of long distance touring and need to carry clothes, tend, sleeping bag etc. I have been using a Bandit with the Givi 21 litre hard bags and a 40+ litre duffel strapped on top. I see Givi makes a soft bag support for the '09 M1100, but not the '10. Can anyone explain the difference between the two years, suggest a super luggage option, or explain why the 09 rack wont work?

TIA

AFAIK the only difference is the stock '10 exhaust heat shields are of the larger variety than was on '09.

Although somewhere back in the dusty recesses of my memory I remember Raux talking about changes to the rear subframe assembly.....

Calling Mr Raux to the white courtesy telephone please......

i know that there is a difference btwn the 09/10 subframe and the '11+ subframes as the '11+ subframes allow the fitting of the passenger grab handles.  never heard of any diff btwn the 09/10 ones though.

Thanks for the replies so far. As far as I can tell the Givi rack will fit. Does anyone have any first hand experience or other options for bags other then the Ducati ones. I would really like a top rack for my larger bag. (Tent and other important camping gear goes inside.)
