New tank @ AMS

Just got back from getting my new replacement tank put on today - damn cold riding down but they warmed us up with coffee. Looks great - fixed my valve stem, adjusted my suspension a bit and hooked me up with a pigtail for a battery tender.
Kudos to Sophia, Jordan and of course Jeff for getting it all straightened out. Got the story on how they got bad info from DNA.
Now if the weather would just warm up a bit so I can run a few tanks of fuel thru it with the K100.

Glad they got it sorted out for you. The K100 should help, but the best way to prevent future problems is to keep fresh gas in the tank    - in other words, fill up, ride, refill, repeat....

Question:  I'm reading a book about an English jump jockey that has ferrying vans. He says he keeps full tanks to keep condescation down. Is it best to not keep a low talk on our motos for long periods?

K100 is composted of butoxy ethanol.

You are adding ethanol to counteract the effects of ethanol?

if you must try using a fuel additive to contain the water in your gas tank, try one that doesn't have alcohol.  the ethanol in gasoline simply wicks moisture from the air and deposits it to your tank which causes the deformation.

using any additive with alcohol (ethanol, isopropyl, methanol, butoxyethanol, isopropanol, etc) just increases the percentage of alcohol in your gasoline from 10% to ?

Sta-Bil "Marine formula" additive is specifically blended to fight the bad effects of ethanol. Every time after I finish a ride I top up the tank at the gas station by the house, ride it the mile home and add the Marine Sta-Bil to the tank. Do the bounce and slosh to get it mixed up real good and park it, lock it and hook up the Battery Tender pig tail. I have several scooters so they all don't get ridden regularly but they all get the same treatment... steel tank or plastic, Duc, Suzuki, Honda or Kawasaki. No severe tank problems so far.

The Sta-Bil Marine additive isn't cheap but it is cost effective. The quart bottle will treat 320 gallons of fuel. I add a little bit more than recommended (doesn't hurt anything) and the stuff is readily available at Pep Boys. Can't hurt to try it.

The stuff i am interested in now is called Pri-G.  It doesn't use any alcohol, it's an amine based formula and attacks water and ethanol directly.  One of the main ingredients though is ShellSol which is basically naphtha.
