MMM.... very nice cars.

I've been giving some thought to Mecedes C200 Kompressor Sports (02-03) thought it would be a nice drive for the wife.

Anyone know any problems with them or quirks that I should be made aware of?

Mick - My sister is selling hers, not sure what year but its a C200. If you like I will check with her.
P.S. Its used to be my mums, its in top nick and only driven by sensible ladies. Mum bought a new one, they both love them. Great car.

Like anything I purchase, I have a good look around, find the good/bad check the price, and have another good look around.

What I'm trying to say is I'm not in any hurry to purchase, but yep, let me know.

This won't hurt much.... Trust me......

I had a drive of this one the other day:

'08 Liberty STI

Very nice.    :D

It was very comfortable to cruise around in, not a harsh ride like I expected.

The handling was on-par, if not better than the 3.2 Audi.

Acceleration was quick, nice and quick.
It wouldn't quite get the "Holy Sh1t" reaction I got from the passenger, while test driving the 3.2 Audi.
I'll put that down to the different power delivery of the 4cyl turbo, compared to a bigger 6.
On paper, the Audi has 1kW more power, and 20Nm less (but over a much wider range) according to car sales.
It's a bit unfair to compare the two, as the Subaru is over 20k cheaper.

The Liberty's condition is nothing short of spectacular.
It has three tiny stone chips, some small scuffs under the front spoiler, and one small scrape on the front left mag.
Interior looks absolutely brand new.
Engine bay is surgically clean.

Full service history from Subaru Brisbane.
2nd service was missed, but it was done at the 3rd.
Mileage is getting towards high, currently at 68500.
The car spent most of it's life on the Sunshine Coast, which leads me to believe it was used to commute to Brisbane.
I was initially a little concerned about the mileage, but I don't think it will be an issue.
The car has been very well looked after, and appears to have had an easy life (so far  ;) )

I wasn't in a rush to buy, at all. But I had a look and it's hard to say no!
Now I just have to agree on a price, get it inspected, then shipped back to Tassie  ;D

Looks nice.
White is the new black so you're on a winner there.
What's the asking price?

Yellow Meanie

I couldn't get him any lower than 36k. He was very firm on the price  :(

There are others in NSW and Vic with less km's, they are around the 40-42k mark.
My only question at this stage is, is it better to pay more for a car with less km's?

Two dogs

Mmmmm STI ........... aka The Lebo Porsche  [evil] 8)

i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

Yellow Meanie

That's what I thought.

Would love to, then I'd stop in for a beer.  :P

Unfortunately I can't get the car on the "big red bus" until 5th of Jan.
It will cost about a grand to ship the car from Brisbane to Launceston, which isn't much more than driving.

I'm sure we could have organised something.

At this time of year ... it'd probably cost you a lot more travelling through NSW ... and then VIC [leo] [bang]

Mmick, you've such a way with words...   [laugh]
You almost had me hooked, but unfortunately I'm already back in Tassie.

Matty, I'm very happy. I only had time for a short drive before dropping her off at the depot.
The shenanigans will have to wait till she gets to her new home. (Too many  [leo] in Qld for my liking)
