BARF Bash 06.22.08

I've yet to meet a BARFer in person that wasn't nice and friendly towards me.

I missed the bash but those kind of events aren't really my scene anyways. Looked like everyone had a good time though from the pictures I saw.

I had a good time. I saw a lot of people I know and met a lot of people I didn't know who were all very friendly. It didn't feel like the high school BARF you see online. I made a bunch of BARF pins with sayings from memorable threads and people kept coming up to me to say how cool they were. I think you just have to take the online BARF posts with a handful of salt and know that most (not all) are normal people, just trying to fit in with the brash, sometimes adolescent, sometimes helpful BARF culture.

I had a great time at the bash. My band (Twofingers) closed the event. Afterwards we hung out and watched Donnington at the home of a BARF/DMF member. Good times.

No problem on the pins. That GOTFS thread is priceless. Had fun listening to your band at the end, too.
