woodcraft rearset ?

installed my woodcraft rearsets and was just making sure sense all the pics I have seen and directions also state that the return spring for the brake pedal is not used.  is that correct?  and also the brake light switch.  just put some dielectric greese on the connector end and wrap it up?   thanks
