Any Mod ideas for my 2012 696?

There's so much you can do to a 696. Your imagination's the limit (as well as your budget) but the monster can fit so many different parts from other ducati's also.
'11 Monster 696, Pantah Body Parts, Ohlins DU 737 Rear Shock, ST4S Five Spoke Marchesini 180 conversion rear wheel, H-Comp Exhaust, Speedymoto top triple clamp with riser, 1098 Showa suberbike adjustable forks, ST4S Five Spoke Marchesini front wheel, Braking.com 748R 15mm offset wave rotors Rizoma Conical Black Handlebar, Woodcraft Racing Rearsets, 848 Black Wet Clutch Cover, 796/100 Kick Stand (added 1"), 999 Black Preload Adjuster.

The big mod that I'm doing (2010 Monster 696 ABS) is having catalyst reaction put in cartridges. The gentleman there thought most of the bike including rear suspension was pretty good but basically most folks seem to agree that the front suspension  is sh*te. Although I'm a diyer, I'm not attempting this one since there's machining involved. I'm looking forward to the difference and tentatively looking at Tues taking it to the shop and hopefully next weekend - evaluation time...otherwise known as a fun twisty ride! :)

Those are Showa forks, correct? The OP has the newer Marzocchis which aren't bad. No idea what your pal is telling you about the rear unless you have something different than the Sachs which came with the 2011 bikes. The Sachs is NOT compliant and oversprung for most without a passenger.
