Would love to hear any reviews of the competition werkes slip-on for the m1100 evo. I'm just about to take delivery of my 20th anniversary edition and I'm wondering if I don't need the termis. I like the look of the werkes pipe much better, but I'm not sure if it'll sound right, or if the fueling will be as good as termignoni.

Thanks! Matt

I replied in the other thread, but here's another video of me doing a flyby with the CW pipe on my 1100 EVO with DB killer removed (and gone forever!):

You will be astonished by the weight savings from the stock cans though. Damn those were hefty. Plus removing the hanger/passenger pegs adds to some serious weight coming off the bike. I've put 5500 miles on the bike with the CW pipe on, no flash yet (just hit 7500 so going to have it reflashed while they have it in the shop for service).  I love the look and sound and always get compliments on how it sounds from  everyone, even the Harley guys (like their opinion of anything performance related has merit!).

Thanks -- I think it looks loads better than the termis but I always feel like termis have the edge on sound and fueling since they get to work with the factory. I have a feeling I'll end up going with the cw anyway. It just looks tits.

Just an FYI, the stock can weighs 12.6 lbs.  Termi slip-on cans for the M1100 EVO weigh 7.5 lbs including the mounting bracket.

CW sound isn't as good as Termis (or Arrows) but the look is better.

A guy I ride with has an 1100evo with CW slip on and to my ears it is much louder and has a deeper, nastier sound than my full Termignoni exhaust.

You would have to pay me for me to swap my CompWeks for a Termi.

I'm probably in the minority since this is an Italian bike forum, but I think the current Termi offerings are nothing special and even not competitive with some of the others. Seems as though they subsist by virtue of group mind think that they are the system to have on a Duc. On an older Duc, I tend to agree, but not on the modern models.

Guess I'm part of that minority myself - I am very happy with the CW slipon. My friend has the Shift-tech carbon can that he just put on his 1100 EVO (with a slick little heel guard mount). Now he wants a CW one. It sounds THAT good.

I got the CW slip on mainly for look (the shorty opens up the rear wheel so much more) and the price, fraction of the Termi. I def like the sound of the Termi's a little more, they are not as loud but their bassy tone sounds  better to me. However I am not knockinf the CW, it sounds pretty bada$$ and if you take the DB killer out it sounds like a race bike.

Beware though, I had a lot of popping and what sounded like backfiring with the CW when I had the DB killer out, (think about it the termi are two cans and this one is a one can shorty) even with the ECU reflash from MWheels. It was bad w/o the DB killer and a little better with it on. Ultimately I got a Bazzaz ZFI system, the bike was really lean at low rpm. Custom mapped it and now runs great, I got an occasional pop on deccel but not much anymore.

I've been pretty happy with the Termis on my bike.  They are easy to install and come with the DP ECU which is pretty much plug and play.  With baffles in the bike runs great, but a little too quiet IMO so I bought a set of more open baffles from a company in Germany which really make it sound a lot better but without all the popping on decel that happens running with baffles out.

Nothing wrong with either choice. I have the CW with a modified DB killer installed. I rode the bike like this for a couple thousand miles before getting the Rexxer ECU flash. I'm very happy with the results, it's not perfect, but much improved. Some will complain about the "popping" through the exhaust decelerating. I like to think the 1100EVO is more like a 70's muscle car than a 2014 Camry. If I wanted that I'd not purchased a Ducati. RacingJ
