I have used Penrite for many years. First in Harleys and old Pommie bikes and later in the M900.
I was trying Bel-Ray and Shell semi synthetic and noticed a little oil consumption that stopped when I went back to full synthetic Penrite. Probably just the full synthetic Vs semi synthetic thing, but the Penrite full synth was a similar price.

yeah, used it. But not on a long term basis.
Why you ask?

i've had some info mailed to me from them, and recently a customer commented on how they'd found it good.  i'm using motul 3100 and 7100 these days, but if it's good then i'd go to a local product happily.

supercheap 20% off works well
i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

Used Racing 10 for a couple of years in the 900m with no problem (plenty of track days)

another good excuse for a photo

Will use their MC4ST 10w-40 synthetic in the Honda, Australian owned probably swayed my decision
(another  photo  ;D - it is red)

I use their 'racing 15' in my Triumph Bonneville and the 'racing 10' in my tiger 800.  Will be looking at using Penrite in the monster once it gets to it's next change as I don't use synthetic for the first 5000+ period.  Have always found Penrite to be as good as anything else around.

I also looked at their products and could not find enough info on people using them or product comparo info...

Was looking at the MC4ST Full Synth 10W40 for the S4R....

Ended up using Silkolene Pro4, but would like to use an Aus product if just as good.

Will be interesting to see how you go.....

i'll think about looking into it more closely when i have a chance  which usually means never.

they have a lot of oils, more confusing than motul.

if you want some info email them

they got back to me pretty quick with info as was asking about some different oils with
the view of carrying 2 oil for the different vehicles around here and the info back was very helpful

along with things i missed  which would have been the wrong oil for 1 application

In a previous life i worked for penrite oil, both in sydney and brisbane, they were (and for all i know, still are) very passionate about their products, they were just releasing their 10/tenths range when i left them. I have always used their oils religiously in my cars, my bikes however have always had a bike specific oil from either shell or castrol, dunno why, maybe because i never looked into penrite' bike range, i will look harder at it next time a change is due. I have plenty of confidence they make a good product and would trust it in my bikes.

No bike specific info but many moons ago I wrenched for an Alfa Romeo shop which solely used Penrite from running in oil to every day servicing with no issues what so ever!  We prepared a couple of competition cars as well on said oil.

I too am interested as I only use Motul (7100) in my bikes but local is good!

Don't buy cheap shit, it can cut your balls off.

Needle99

Pity the guy on the stand was not particularly helpful..

What oil do you have that is like motul 7100 or Silkolene Pro4? Well we have one that matches any product and is better...
