That said...motos and boats are better deals than snowmobiles. ;)

Water level falls briefly, both relative to the boat and relative to a fixed point, while the suitcase is in the air.

When the suitcase hits the water, the water level returns to the previous level relative to the fixed point, yet stays at the lowered level relative to the boat.
