The place has a history with fire.

The whole family was up there once, me, mom, dad, two uncles, and a set of grandparents. My dad and the two uncles decided to light fireworks and one of the boys decided to throw a firecracker into the fire pit. It was a rocket of some sort cause it ignited and took off towards my peanut of a grandmother. She fell backwards outta the camp chair, it took a turn and ran slap into the cabin.

Then someone filled up a kerosene (or whatever is usually used to help light a fire) can with gasoline. My dad start splashing it on the pit, lit a match, dropped it and promptly realized it wasn't kerosene in that can. That fire looked like a movie special effect with the way it rolled out over the ground. And theres my dad, in nylon hiking pants, dancing like hell trying not to get set on fire. Singed his shoelaces, eyebrows, and armhair.

Well, I'm working on Saturday the 11th... At WCU, just a bit north of Cashiers though.  Problem is, I hafta take the bus back to Haywood County.  Depending on what's happening Sunday, I might be able to catch up with some then.  I'll keep watch ~
