Poor gas mileage after service

My buddy had a similar issue with a shop in my area (Pro Italia) - he took his 1098 for some warranty service, got the bike back and the gas light started coming on at 70miles (instead of the 90 he was getting before).  He called them up and told them about the problem and they said "it's normal" - he disagreed, so after a while they agreed to "look" at it.

Maybe it's not just the shop? But something intrinsic to the bike?

Yeah. Maybe find a different shop. Never heard anything bad about Duc Pond before but maybe they are having issues if they're losing techs like you say.

Just want to clarify - DucPond is my new shop!  I had trouble with Speeds.  So far I have nothing but good things to say about DucPond.  Donnie is a great guy and the service is top notch - no BS.  They are respringing my monster today and Donnie and I talked about the tune issue.  He suggested waiting to see if my visit yesterday to Speeds changed anything, and if not, he'll tune it.

BTW I edited the previous post so there is no confusion.

Ok. I got it now. Don't worry, it will sink in after several times...

It's like I keep saying:  Those who would sacrifice a free range session for a giant beer, deserve neither free range time nor a giant beer.

i have had guys reach back and grab my crotch in an attempt to get around me. i'll either blow in their ear or ask them politely to let go of my wang.

Well, I put 200 miles on it today and the best it would do is 35 mpg.  I guess I'll be taking it to Duc Pond for a tune......
