Hi everyone! I am from Staten Island, NY. 27yo. Name is Paul. Just got my class M and is looking for my first bike. I drive Lotus, so i am looking for similar qualities in bike. Gotta be light and nimble. And look good. Guess 696 fits the bill. Still not sure if i should buy now or wait till springtime.  The only thing i ever tried (except MSFs suzuki) is my friends 6R. Took it to 40mph and thatsn it. Total noob here.

Wintertime can be a challenging time to learn to ride, between cold weather, slick roads, and less daylight.  Another option might be picking up some used beater bike to practice on for a couple of months, then getting your Duc come springtime.

Oh, and got any pictures of that Lotus?

Buy a beater and ride the wheels off it, THEN get a nicer bike. Welcome in.
