Rapid Prototyping for DMF Parts

I'm working on a brief project at school where the higher ups have given me access to a Z Corp 3-d powder and resin printer. I can rapid prototype anything as long as its 4'' x 4'' (I'm using the smaller less expensive yet still outrageously expensive machine). If anyone has any interesting parts they want rapid prototyped let me known and I'll try to get it in. I have nothing in mind off the top of my head nor do I have the time to draw up an accurate solidworks model for any monster parts. If you have something in a CAD program I should be able to work it as long as it can be saved as a .STL file.

If no one comes up with anything I'll probably just make a race bearing which should actually emerge from the powder and work without me having to do anything.

We have a big model rapid prototyping "printer".  That thing is awesome. What it can replicate is amazing. Some parts can be made that are so durable it seems like you could use the model just like a finished part.

I went totally slack jawed the first time I watched it do its' thing.  They are hideously expensive though.

I just thought of a good one, how 'bout valve covers? I've seen 2v covers with cooling fins along their length giving a really cool look. I think somebody in Norway or Sweden made some. Another valve cover (that I could really use) would be trimmed flat on the big side to allow for extra front tire clearence. I run a pretty short wheelbase and in order to maximize the weight bias, the front tire always seems to need about 1/4" more room. I can send pic or samples of the latter. Maybe some of the others here can dig up some pics of the former.

I have a project that I'm doing at school where they are allowing me to use much less expensive equipment to make clip ons...

Hey Norm, turns out I will need a valve cover with the oil cooler mount. Can I trade you?

I'm out of top mount M style ones but I may have an extra bottom mount SS style if that'll help. How's everything going?

BUT - our new best friend above should be able to whip a couple of them out for us and who knows, we might be able to use them as prototyped. If not, I volunteer to get some casting quotes.

Sent you an email about my tail light prototype.
Thanks!

+ a billion and then some.
A guy on TOB had made some. I tried contacting him and never got a response. I would definitely buy that.
