I have the bmw airshell jacket been wearing it for approx 2 months and here is my review.

unisex size small = mens 35-39 suit size

reason i got it = i currnetly have a bmw venting machine jacket in size 38r mens, this fits a size 38 jacket US if you weight around 140-165 lbs and around 5'6-5'7' height or so, give or take a little obviously, the only problme with the venting machine jacket is its all black and has no liner, basically i wanted something more visible and with a liner for waterproof and also temp variations.  the venting maching jacket is a mesh jacket and basically too cold uner 75F outside, and my winter leather is too hot for above 60F so i had a problem.

this jacket is unisex sizing meaning if you are mens 38-40 you will fit in this jacket, the medium is slightly larger and has some overlap maybe fits 39-43 or so so depending on yoru build this is something to take into account.

the construction is the same as the airflow 3 jacket look it up , very similar materials and you have the np armor in it the shoulders, elblow and i upgraded the back armor to the better armor by bmw level 2 faom it looks like.

the fit is a little looser than the stated 38r for a size medium thus the reason i said if you are a 39-40 you will probably fit it but it will be a closer fit.

the liner is a full liner that zips and snaps in, it is supposidly water proof (havent' tested) and also it has a little of insulation so if you are riding from 55-70F you are good.  thus the reason i got this.

also construction is typical bmw style its made well with minimal bmw labeling but it is there.  i dont' mind it.  now what bmw is going for here is the whole his vis yellow look.  and basically they are trying to compete with olympia that puts out a very very similar jacket.  for me personally i picked the bmw one bc i already have bmw pants and such and this zips easily to them the olympia wouldn't bc bmw uses a zipper that only they use for connecting to pants and such.

the jacket has some adjustment straps in teh arms for the elbow padding, the wrists and at the waiste, i only use the arm ones on the tighter setting but they are all snaps.  all snaps are rubber coated.

overall its a great jacket for the summer/spring/early fall, if you need a jacket that is a bit more than a pure mesh without a liner and a bit lighter than an winter specific jacket.

can you find something cheaper? yes teh olympia jacket is about 1/3 cheaper, but honestly i knew that the bmw one would be a quality product and it fit well and had the "look" i was looking for.

good luck if you decide to get one, i personally think its a great jacket but it does have the typical "bmw" markup that you would expect.

i got mine from san diego bmw motorcycles.

but this is what it looks like:
