Is it too much to ask for a decent Jacket to have a decent Zipper?

Any other companies use zippers close to the Joe Rockets?  (Teknic, Icon maybe).

The Teknic Violator jacket I've got (I think it's a 2007, previous to the current generation) has a metal-tooth zipper that has held up pretty well; the zippers on my Teknic Chicane pants are metal as well, so it's probably something they do fairly widely across the line. I do worry a bit about remembering to tuck away the zipper pulls (especially on the pants fly and the front slash pockets on the jacket & pants) for fear of scratching the tank.

Unfortunately, the jacket as a whole is starting to show some loose seams in non-critical places after just a year or so of moderate use, though the pants are holding up well. It's also leather, which I know you're trying to avoid.

FWIW, the zipper on my Dainese Gladiator jacket failed within a year or so, and it was replaced FOC.  The repair was handled through Cycle Gear.
