Yup.  It's me.

Got a vest for X-mas and had a chance to rough the wiring in today and go for a scoot.  Quite toasty despite the winds, cold air in the valleys and speed.

Me Gusta!  [thumbsup]

That is all....

It was in the low 50's F today so because my heated vest had one setting (haven't wired up the variable thingy yet), I left my winter gloves, jacket liner and balaclava at home.  Was *perfect* with the vest on HIGH all day and my summer gear on.  But yeah...I think either grips or gloves are next and I'm leaning toward grips...

Ok...  I'm a dork.

I just realized that I rode the entire day w/the tags still on the vest hanging off the collar in the rear.  I'm sure some folks got a laugh!  [laugh]

I got a Gerbings vest.  The fit needs to be snug so the vest can do a better job of getting the heat into you.  I normally wear a Large T-shirt, can do a medium but it's a bit snug on me.  I was advised (by Speeddog who also owns a Gerbings vest) to get the size Small.  He brought his over for a test-fit and he was right.  I wear it over my T-shirt and then add layers above that (usually not needed BTW).

The fold-up neck option is awesome!  Especially when it's partnered with a balaclava!  Wow...the heat goes right into your neck and stays there...  [thumbsup]

I did get the variable temp controller but for this ride (and the two others I've done w/heated gear since) I just did a quick hard-wire so it's on 100% when plugged in.  I'll get the variable unit mounted up soon.

I now have the full Monty: Tour Master Synergy heated gloves, pant- and jacket liners.  Long rides in sub-freezing temperatures...no problem!   [moto]
